Process
Anodizing is an electrochemical process that thickens the natural oxide layer on a metal — most commonly aluminum — by making the part the anode in an electrolytic bath. The resulting oxide layer is harder, more corrosion-resistant, and can be dyed before sealing.
Cost
Cost depends primarily on automation level, tank count and material, rectifier capacity, and whether wastewater treatment and ventilation are included. Equipment
A complete plant needs process and rinse tanks, a hoist or automated transport system, a DC or pulse rectifier, chemical dosing and bath-analysis equipment, heating/cooling, local exhaust ventilation with scrubbing, a PLC/SCADA control system, and wastewater treatment.
Compliance
Anodizing wastewater requires pH neutralization, removal of dissolved metals, and — where cyanide or chromium are present — specific destruction/reduction steps before discharge. EVESS's EGC technology treats these as a single mixed stream rather than requiring segregated pretreatment lines.
Project Delivery
Manual lines suit small-batch or prototype production with 1–2 operators per shift. Semi-automatic lines automate transport while keeping operator-guided process steps, for medium volumes.
